The FIFA Disciplinary Committee decided that players are not to be considered a “third party” in the sense of definition 14 and Art. 18ter of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP).
The players are allowed to receive a specific compensation – a lump sum or a percentage – in case of their future transfer to another club. This is not considered a violation of FIFA’s rules on third-party ownership of players’ economic rights.
